The teachers were never offered the same deal as other employee groups. Never during negotiations. Never during a board meeting. Never. We were offered an 8% pay cut. Then, we were offered a 5% pay cut. Classified was offered a 5% pay cut in exchange for working nine less days with a guarantee of no layoffs. Teachers were offered a 5% pay cut without a guarantee of no layoffs and, we would work the same number of days. The district claims that the all employee groups were offered the same deal. It simply isn’t true.
